Why did you choose solar?
James wanted to produce his own clean power. What was your buying process like?
James compared options on EnergySage, met with Zach, and was ready to sign the next day. The site visit turned up one complication: his home's small, older electrical service could not support an EV charger as it was. Is your system producing at the estimated rate?
Yes, and a Level 2 charger is ready for the car. A Level 2 charger adds range several times faster than a standard wall outlet, so overnight charging covers a typical day of driving.
How was the installation process?
It took about a month from signing to a fully approved project. The install itself took two days and covered a lot: the 10-panel solar array, a 200A meter and main combo upgrade, a trench, and a ChargePoint Level 2 EV charger. Each panel has its own Enphase IQ8AC microinverter, so the system keeps producing even if one panel is shaded.
