Why did you choose solar?
Honestly, solar was not something I had been actively thinking about. It all started when a sales rep from another company stopped by while he was walking through the neighborhood. The timing was good because I was already considering some long-term home improvements, so I decided to listen. That quick conversation made me curious about how solar really works and whether it could save us money. Once I started looking into the numbers and doing my own research, the idea of going solar became a lot more appealing.
What was your buying process like?
I’m the type of person who researches everything, so before choosing a solar company I actually built a full comparison spreadsheet. I looked at total cost, equipment quality, customer satisfaction, warranties, whether the company was local, pretty much every factor you can imagine. Centauri kept coming out on top in every column. Their proposal was clear, the pricing made sense, and the level of transparency and responsiveness made the decision a lot easier. By the time I finished my spreadsheet, it was obvious they were the right choice.
Why did you choose Centauri?
I decided to go with Centauri for a few reasons. They are a local company, which really mattered to me because I wanted someone who understands our area and would be around long term. They were not the absolute lowest cost, but they were close, and the value felt much higher. What really stood out was the people. Everyone I interacted with, even early on, was responsive and willing to connect me with the right team members when I had specific questions. There was no runaround and no pressure. It felt like a company that genuinely cared about doing things the right way.

Is your system producing at the estimated rate?
It is a little tough to judge long-term performance at this time of year, but so far things look very promising. On the good, sunny days I am already seeing close to 50 kWh of production. That gives me a lot of confidence that once we get into the spring and summer months, with better sun angles and longer days, the system will perform even better. Everything seems to be on track with what was expected.
How was the installation process?
The installation process was very good from start to finish. The crew showed up when they said they would, worked efficiently, and kept everything clean and organized. They walked me through what they were doing, answered any questions I had, and made the whole experience feel smooth and straightforward. It was clear they took pride in their work.

Would you recommend Centauri to a friend?
After going through the entire process myself, I would have no hesitation recommending Centauri to a neighbor. The team was reliable, transparent, and easy to work with, and the whole experience made me confident that others would have a great outcome too.
