Why did you choose solar?
Joshua's home uses a fair amount of power, especially for heating and cooling, and he was tired of watching the bill go up every year. Like a lot of homeowners, he started out by searching what solar panels cost. Once he saw what a system could do for a home that uses as much electricity as his, he decided it was time to look into it for real.
What was your buying process like?
Joshua first priced a smaller system, about half the size he ended up with. When he sat down with Zach, they looked at his actual usage and how much of the roof could hold panels. Covering more of the bill made more sense than covering part of it, so the design grew to 29 panels and 12.76 kW. Co-op pricing through the Switch Together program and financing through the Center for Energy and Environment (CEE) made the larger system work for his budget.
Why did you choose Centauri?
Zach answered every question in a single meeting, from equipment to financing to timeline, and Joshua felt comfortable signing that day. In his own review, he summed up the team as "very knowledgeable staff" who "answered all my questions."

Is your system producing at the estimated rate?
So far the system is doing what it was designed to do. It runs on Generac PWRmicro microinverters, with one dual microinverter for every two panels, so production is tracked across the whole array in the monitoring app.
How was the installation process?
Fast. Joshua went from signing to a working system in about two months. His electrical service is tucked under the deck, which made the required meter and distribution upgrade a trickier job than usual. The crew rebuilt what was needed under the deck, completed the upgrade alongside the solar install, and handled it without making it his problem. Permits, utility paperwork and inspections were all managed by our project team.
Equipment Installed:
Panels: SEG 440W
Inverter(s): Generac PWRmicro PM-820 (one dual microinverter per two panels)
Energy Storage: None
Would you recommend Centauri to a friend?
Joshua left Centauri a five-star Google review before anyone asked for one: "Great company. Very knowledgeable staff, answered all my questions. The whole experience was very professional."
